Valentina Boldurat

 Characteristic

The artistic director and conductor of "Credo" is Valentina Boldurat - a well-known choirmaster under whose guidance the vocal group has gained recognition and popularity not only in Moldova but also abroad.

A specialist of high professional level, a musician with great educational and scenic experience, Mrs. Valentina Boldurat has worked with different staffs police force and state regulatory authorities orienting her artistic activity toward cultural and spiritual education in the spirit of freedom and patriotism.

As the artistic director and principal choirmaster of Credo she has been carrying on through choir's concert activity an ardent propaganda and popularization of sacred and secular choir music. All concert programs are noted for high professionalism and interpretative mastery.

Credo, conducted by Valentina Boldurat, represented choral Moldovan art numerous times during different international contest and festivals, winning multiple awards including the most recent ones from Germany (in 1998 and 1999) and Poland (1999). In Zwisckau Mrs. Boldurat received a special diploma of" The Best Choir Conductor in Europe". Concert audience of the choir is multifarious ranging from army troops to state officials.

Valentina Boldurat has obtained the blessing and personal gratitude of the metropolitan of Chisinau and all of Moldova - metropolitan Vladimir for her vast activity in the promotion of sacred music. The choir's participation became indispensable in all rites and ceremonies of state agencies. Along with other ensembles of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "Credo" has become on of the honorable guests of national "Martsishor" festival.

During her artistic career and wonderful creative choirmaster and educational activity Mrs. Bolduarat has brought up a pleiad of musicians and cultural workers. Among her pupils are such personalities as Andrey Dimitrovich - the conductor of symphonic orchestra of Moldovan State Broadcasting Company, Ceban Inga - artistic director of National Philharmonic of Constanta (Romania), Nicolai Glib - national artist of Moldova, Valentina Cojocaru - people's artist of Moldova and many others.

Being a high-rank professional in the field, Mrs. Boldurat is one of the most outstanding representatives of Moldovan choral and performance school, a talented conductor and an active promoter of both national and foreign choral art.

Credo Choir was founded in 1995 on the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and is functioning as a part of Educational and Cultural Center. The founder of this artistic group strives for the formation of an ample and thorough choir program with a religious and laical touch, also including various stylistically oriented works. The Credo Choir sings in "St. Panteleimon" thus orienting its' activity toward spiritual education of young people. The rector of the church is protopop, V.Potoroaca.
